On My Knees by Meredith Wild….Review

Book Synopsis:

Haunted by the responsibility of caring for her troubled family, Maya Jacobs gave the only answer she could when Cameron asked her to marry him. Years later, entrenched in a soulless professional routine, she distracts herself from the lingering regret of her decision with a “work hard, play hard” lifestyle that guarantees no man will ever find his way into her heart again.

Cameron Bridge has spent the past five years married to the military, trying to escape the painful memory of losing Maya. After fighting his own war in the desert, he starts a new life in New York City, with his siblings, Olivia and Darren, by his side.

When fate brings Maya back to him in the heart of a city filled with its own hopes and shadows, can Cameron find the girl he once loved in the woman she’s become?

As a big fan of the Hacker Series, I was excited to hear that Meredith Wild had a new series coming out and reading it was a must. I was NOT disappointed. I was, once again, easily drawn into the place and time of the characters and was privy to their innermost thoughts and feelings. I love stories told from a dual POV and the detail given to their thoughts and dialogues were exemplary. Cameron’s and Maya’s story was heartbreaking, but the strength and commitment that was built from the heartbreak will move you. I simply cannot wait to see what Meredith Wild has in store for us with the next book in the Bridge Series, Into the Fire.

Meredith Wild is a #1 New York Times, USA Today, and international bestselling author of romance. After self-publishing her debut novel Hardwired in September 2013, Wild used her ten years of experience as a tech entrepreneur to push the boundaries of her “self-published” status, becoming stocked in brick-and-mortar bookstore chains nationwide and forging relationships with the major retailers. In December 2014, her fourth book in the Hacker Series hit #1 on the New York Times  and Wall Street Journal bestsellers lists, a rare feat for an indie author. Under her own imprint, Waterhouse Press, Wild went on to sell over 1.2 million ebooks and 200,000 trade paperbacks before signing a deal with Hachette’s Grand Central Publishing for the acquisition of her five Hacker Series novels. While complete, the series continues to grow in popularity worldwide. Foreign rights have been sold in over 20 languages.

Today, Wild splits her time between writing romance and working behind the scenes at Waterhouse, helping discover, publish, and promote other talented authors. Living on Florida’s Gulf Coast with her husband and three children, she refers to herself as a techie, whiskey-appreciator, and hopeless romantic. When she isn’t living in the fantasy world of her characters, she can usually be found atwww.facebook.com/meredithwild.
